About

A Wreckfest 2 community built around real racing

Bump Draft is a Wreckfest 2 community running two dedicated servers and a custom driver rating system. We turn every points race into live data: skill ratings, safety ratings, lap records and standings that almost no other Wreckfest 2 community tracks.

The name comes from racing. Bump drafting is a NASCAR superspeedway technique where one car pushes another so both go faster together - teamwork built right into the name. That is the spirit of the community: competitive, a little rough, but better when we run together.

Two servers, two kinds of chaos

New here? The how to join guide gets you on a server in about a minute, including one-click connect links.

The driver rating system

Every points race on the racing server is scored automatically from live in-game telemetry and feeds two ratings. This is the heart of what makes Bump Draft different from a plain server.

B Rating (BR)

B Rating, or BR, is an iRacing-style skill rating - a pairwise Elo system that compares how you finish against every other driver in the race, weighted by the strength of the field. Win against a strong grid and your BR climbs faster; the system is zero-sum, so ratings reflect real head-to-head results, not just participation. New drivers start at 1000 and the best climb past 2500.

Safety Rating (SR)

Safety Rating, or SR, measures how clean you race. It rewards finishing races with your car intact and penalizes heavy contact and wrecks. SR is harder to earn than to lose, so a high SR is a real signal that a driver can be trusted to race close without turning every corner into a pile-up.

Check your own numbers without leaving the game: type !stats, !records or !leaderboard in the in-game chat and the server replies with your BR, SR, wins and rank. The same stats power the live driver search and leaderboard on our home page and the /stats command in Discord.

Live results, records and standings

Multi-driver races are recorded as full results: finishing order, fastest laps, and per-driver rating changes. We track track records (the fastest clean lap on every circuit), season standings, and a public B Rating leaderboard. An in-game race announcer calls the action live - green flag, lead changes, the winner at the line and the post-race awards.

How to get involved

Everything is free to join. Hop on a server, run some races, and watch your ratings build. For live server status, event times, one-click join buttons and the full driver-rating commands, join the community on Discord.
